Dobson-Moore Engagement
The Rev. and Mrs. Neil and Norma Jean Dobson of Nashville, TN (and more recently of St. Petersburg, FL) announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Miss Callie Lynn Dobson, to Philip Wendell Moore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell and Eula Mae Moore of Hayesville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Gertrude and the late Robert N. Wechtel of St. Petersburg, FL and the late Mr. and Mrs. Arch Hughes Dobson of Nashville, TN. Miss Dobson is a graduate of Hunters Lane High School in Nashville, TN. She received a bachelor's degree in environmental health from Western Carolina University and a master's degree in water resources from Indiana University. She lives in Young Harris and is employed as the Executive Director of the Hiwassee River Watershed Coalition.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Enoch N. Allen of Murphy and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harve M. Moore, Sr. of Hayesville. Mr. Moore is a graduate of Hayesville High School and received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University. He lives in Hayesville and is employed as the Assistant District Engineer for the NC Dept. of Transportation. He is pursuing a master's degree in biology from Western Carolina University.
Philip and Callie are active members of Hayesville First United Methodist Church, where their May wedding will be held.
