Day of rememberance
ABOVE, Lester Danner of the Hayesville VFW post hands out "Buddy Poppies" at the main intersection on the Square Saturday in honor of Veterans Day. Danner was joined by George Lee and Bo Ford. AT RIGHT, Hayes-ville's war dead are remembered in a memorial decked out with 23 American flags - one for each name. Lewis Nursery donated the plants around the memorial.
