I always use these as hostess gifts or for those extra people who pop up (and they always do!)." - H.L. in California + Common substitution: For every cup of self-rising flour your recipe calls for, mix together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/8 teaspoon of salt. + "If you use a clear spice jar to store buttons, you can shake it and see if the button you are looking for is in that container.
