Medical emergency gets airlift
Clay County Fire and Rescue units joined EMTs Tuesday in responding to a call of a diabetic patient that was unconscious. The patient, a man in his 50s, was flown to Mission St. Joseph's in Asheville by the MOMA helicopter based in Franklin. Fire and rescue units established a landing zone adjacent to Ingle's parking lot. Here, Fire and Rescue personnel, EMTs and flight crew load the patient into the waiting helicopter.
