Students, alumni eligible for Jack Kent Cooke scholarship

Students and recent graduates of Tri-County Community College (TCCC) who are interested in earning a four-year degree are eligible to apply for a Jack Kent Cooke Foundation scholarship.

The scholarship will help students and recent alumni from community and two-year institutions pursue four-year degrees at any accredited college or university in the United States and abroad.

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation scholarships can provide funding for tuition, room and board, fees, and books for the length of the undergraduate degree, generally two years. Each award can total up to $30,000 annually, though the amounts will vary based on such factors as the cost of the institution each recipient attends.

Current students are eligible, as are alumni who earned a degree from TCCC since May 2002 and have not since transferred to a four-year college.

Any student wishing to apply must submit his or her application and other required documentation to the Financial Aid Office at TCCC by December 15, 2006. For more information, contact Diane Owl, Director of Financial Aid, at 828-835-4220.
