Alvin J. Noblet Towns County, Ga., native, U.S. Army veteran

Mr. Alvin J. Noblet, age 81 of Hiawassee, Ga., passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at Clay County Care Center. Mr. Noblet was born Saturday, June 13, 1925 in Towns Co., GA to the late Andrew Jackson Noblet and the late Della Kastner Noblet. He was a WW II U.S Army veteran, and member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Helton Noblet, brother, Earl Noblet and sister, Betty Noblet Nicholson.

Survivors include: step-sons, Dennis Brock, and Rondal Brock of both of Atlanta, GA, brothers and sisters, Muriel Moody, Ernest Noblet, Henry Noblet, Lea Drane, and Rachel Holdaway of all of Hiawassee, GA, Dorothy Moore of Hayesville, NC, and Raymond Noblet of Athens, GA, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 30, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Ledford officiating.

Music was

provided by Clyde McCoy. Interment was in Mt. Zion
