Jacket wrestlers finish eighth in Towns 11-team meet
Clockwise from above left, Hayesville's Kyle Lickteig attempts to roll over his opponent. Kevin McCrary, who finished third in his weight class, immobilizes his opponent before scoring a first-round pin. Tim Shaffer gives it everything he's got to hold his opponent where he wants him. Tommy Kelly gave a great effort in this consolidation round match against an Andrews wrestler.

Nine Hayesville wrestlers took part in the King of the Mountains Tournament December 1,2 at Towns Co. High School. The tournament involved eleven teams from North Carolina and Georgia.

Five wrestlers from Hayesville earned medals during the two-day tournament. Justin Guffey placed 3rd in the 125-pound weight division.
