HHS women are state champions — again
      The 2006 State Championship races were held at Tanglewood Park on Saturday, November 4th. The Hayesville women’s Cross Country team ran to their 4th consecutive State Championship, against the top sixteen teams in the state. Ingram is 1A Men’s State Champion
      Stella Snowden and Levi Gentle 2006 All-State Kyle Ingram came off a disappointing race in the West Region Championship where he finished 4th overall after leading the race though 2.5 miles. He developed a back cramp and was unable to win as he had planned.

Men’s Cross Country Team ’06 State Runner-up
      Only the best teams in the State of North Carolina earn the opportunity to race in the State Championship. To qualify atteam must be in the top four from their respective Region. With four regions, the top sixteen teams then compete for the State Championship.

      Fourteen very determined young men have given Hayesville Middle School its second straight Smoky Mountain Conference wrestling title. The young Yellow Jackets walked away from Saturday’s SMC tournament with the regular season championship trophy and the trophy for the tournament championship.
