Art Association Classes
The Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association (BRMAA) is offering several new classes this month. Beginning Knitting taught by Melody Little will be held on Tuesdays, March 13 & 20 from 10 a.m. - 12 Noon and also on Tuesdays, March 27 & April 3 (same times) for those who can't make the first class; Felted Bags, also taught by Ms. Little, will be on Thursdays, March 15, 22 & 29. A Kudzu Basket & Wreath Workshop with Regina Hines will be held Saturday, March 17 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Gold Wire Wrap Jewelry with Bobbi Umbach will be on Saturday, March 24 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Watercolor Primer (watercolors for beginners) w/Ken Umbach will be on Wednesdays, March 21, 28 and April 4 & 11 from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m., and finally, Kaleidoscopes: A Journey into the Universe w/Scott Cole, will be a workshop held on Saturday, March 31.
The Arts Association also has several ongoing classes that can be joined at any time: Line Dancing Monday evenings w/Sandy Schubert and Handbuilding Clay for Adults w/Lynn Dwyer on Fridays from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. Adult Oils on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. changes instructors each 6 weeks. BRMAA also offers Piano lessons with Neila Pace on Tuesdays and Beginning Guitar with Rachel Claire (flexible schedules).
