It's Chili time again!
Dice , spice , and heat up your favorite chili, giving it that WOW factor to win the votes of the public chili tasters. The entry fee is just $15.00 plus a recommended two gallons of your delicious chili. Entry forms can be picked up at Tiger's or obtained by calling Sandy Nicolette at 389-3045 or Millie Bayne at 389-9427. The public is invited to be chili-tasters for just $5.00 . Sample mouth -watering chili at each booth and then cast your vote for your personal favorite. It is a delightful experience tasting the different chili and its mixture of flavors cooked by so many contestants. It is you PUBLIC DUTY as a CHILI-TASTER to VOTE. Purchase your ticket on the square and choose a strand of chili beads a.k.a Mardi gras beads straight from New Orleans and Mobile. Best Booth is awarded to the most unique and colorful south of the border themed booth . A few lucky chilitasters buy marked tickets that entitled them to be judges for this award. Categories this year include the following: Individual , Youth (under age 18) , Business and Civic/Church Church youth groups, scouts, or group of friends are encouraged to enter under the youth category y.Individuals, rally a friend to enter the competition with you. Civic\Church and Business categories, this is a perfect time to let the public get to know you.
Music , chili-tasting, and a lively crowd moving along uniquely decorated booths equal a fun event. Serving time is 11:30 to 12:00 with prizes awarded at 2:30.Chacha cha to the square on Saturday, April 14 for a memorable afternoon and support your local revitalization association, CCCRA.
