This year marks One Dozen Who Care, Inc.'s eighth year hosting their Multi-cultural

women. The goals of the MWDC are to teach women self-reliance, build self-esteem, increase self-confidence and respect; to build relationships across culture and race and to help women reconnect with their own culture and heritage.

A variety of guest speakers will teach, entertain, encourage and motivate the participants with programs that touch on many aspects of the personal and professional lives of women.

This year's keynote speaker will be Tawana Williams, motivational speaker and author of the book, Unarmed But Dangerous. The back cover of her book describes the

anguish of disability, Tawana Williams was the victim of brutal medical negligence. Born without arms and with impaired use of her legs, her compelling life story unfolds her will to survive the anguish of physical defect and the shame of abuse and isolation."

Ms. Williams has been a guest on the Jerry Springer Show ("Beating the Odds"). She has also been the keynote speaker for the actor, John Beasley, who starred in "The Sum of All Fears" with Morgan Freeman; she was a keynote speaker, too, for Mr. Joe Dudley, Sr. who is the CEO of Dudley Hair Products and Dudley Cosmetology University.

She is an accomplished author, artist, poet, vocalist, wife, mother and CEO of Tawana Williams Outreach, Inc.

Audiences are fascinated by Tawana's boldness and confidence as she proves that she can do what some believe to be impossible. Her message is powerful and uplifting for people in all walks of life.

Come and hear her compelling story of triumph, perseverance and determination.

The conference is open to all adult women and is an equal opportunity project of One Dozen Who Care with a partnership of community-minded individuals.
