Old Hiawassee Grill gets new look and new owner
By TAYLOR LOTT Sentinel Writer

Terry Terranova, Restaurant manager of OHG.
Chef James Reaux the owner and Executive Chef for Sequoyah in Hayesville NC, is now the owner of Old Hiawassee Grill. I visited the restaurant after his debut, newly redecorated and some re staffing. I have to say I wasn't surprised by the quality of food and the service, I have been to Sequoyah many times and know what Chef James expects in food and service. Chef James is a Multi-talented Chef, he has the knowledge and ability to serve on any scale. Please don't think that you can't afford OHG, this great location and family friendly room offers itself to an affordable dinner. The menu has changed and offers something for everyone, from burgers to steaks and seafood. That isn't the only thing that has changed, the ambiance is wonderful, the lights have been lowered and candles adorn each table. The service is impeccable, I didn't have to wait or look for someone if I needed something. Terry Terranova the new restaurant Manager was very active on the floor and spoke to each customer, I have to say I was impressed. Terry is not your average Manager. The faces were friendly and the servers were very knowledgeable of the menu. The outside dining has a wonderful view and small lights that garnish the trees to make that an experience as well. Myself, I am a beef lover, I had the Filet Mignon, my guest had the crab cakes, both were excellent. Keep in mind I am a working gal and single, this I can afford! They also offer a salad bar and sandwich station for lunch all for one low price. Also a great Sunday Brunch. Give Chef James and his staff a chance I am sure you will be pleased and pampered. It wont hurt your wallet either. Best of luck Chef James and all the staff, keep smiling and pleasing our palate!!
