REVIVAL SET FOR PILGRIM BAPTIST CHURCH Pilgrim Baptist Church in Hayesville will be having a revival from April 23 to April 27. The visiting evangalist will be Jimmy Rogers. Pilgrim Baptist is located off McDonald Road on Highway 69. Pastor Danny Hollifield and members of the church invite everyone to attend the nightly services beginning at 7:00 P.M. SINGING AT PINE GROVE Promise Land will be singing at Pine Grove Baptist Church, April 21, 2007 starting at 7:00 pm. Pine Grove is located off of 17-69 going towards Hayesville NC on Swaims Road. Pastor Mark Shook invites everyone to attend. Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church The United Methodist Women of Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church are sponsoring a study on peace to be held in the fellowshiip hall of the church. The date is Saturday, April 21 from 9:30AM until 3PM. A light lunch will be served. The text for the study is Shalom, Salaam, Peace. Shalom in Hebrew is Peace and Salaam is Peace in Arabic. The study is to be led by The Reverend Frederick Gray, a retired North Georgia Conference United Methodist Minister. Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints Event: movie to be shown: "The Testaments: of One Fold and One Shepard" a movie depicting events from the life and ministry of Jesus Christ as recorded in the New Testament and the Book of Mormon. The story culminates with a portrayal of the resurrected Savior's visit to the ancient Americas. Place: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 656 NC Hwy 141 (.5 miles from Murphy Medical Ctr.) When: 6:30 PM, Friday, April 27, 2007 No charge for admission. Refreshments. All are welcome. Friendship Day, May 4 May Friendship Day is scheduled for Friday, May 4, beginning at 10AM. Women from all faith congregations are cordially invited to attend. This year the celebration is to be held at St. Clare's Episcopal Church in Blairsville. The theme is "Friends Under God's Wing" centering on the scripture Matthew 23:37. The program will present two aspects of friendship: the treasured longtime friends and the new friends one makes by intentionally reaching out to others. Readings, music, group participation, and devotional presentations will emphasizefriendships bound together under the shelter of God's care. The Celebration also includes bringing pennies for the Fellowship of Least Coin, a worldwide mpvement now in service for more than 50 years. Each woman participating in the Fellowship of the Least Coin prays regularly for peace and reconciliation in families, work places, communities, her nation and the world. These coins are spent in grants to alleviate women's hardships and thus promote reconciliation and peace in the world. For lunch each woman is to bring a small salad to share. A planning session at the host church is scheduled for Friday, April 27 beginning at 10AM. Inter-denominationmal worship and prayer service Sunday April 29th, Tri-County Christian Crusades will be having an inter-denominational worship and intercessory prayer service. Many area churches will come together to fellowship, worship together, and to intercede in prayer for our area needs. With drugs, alcohol, and family issues and so many needs of the peoples, there is an urgency to come together and enjoy the harmony and fellowship God's kingdom calls for. Many churches have joined in these worship services which are organized by tri-county Christian Crusades each month with a fifth Sunday. the host church this month will be Liberty Baptist Church of Robbinsville, NC. Liberty Baptist and Pastor David Byrd encourage everyone to come out and be apart of this exciting service. Service will begin at 6:00 pm Sunday April 29th. Please join us as Baptist, Methodist, Church of God, Assembly of God, Presbyterian, and others come together for the good of the communities and the worship of our Lord and Savior.
