Picking and singing at the Peacock Playhouse
Mike Whitney mixes humor with golden oldies of the `50's & `60's
About 50 folks showed up for the first coffee haus show at the Peacock Playhouse last Saturday e v e n i n g . Performer Mike Whitney returned with a litinay of songs he has written plus some golden oldies that were familiar to the somewhat older crowd. Whitney had performedin January at the playhouse, but that was on stage, not in the intimate setting of the theatre's lobby. Folks sat in two's, three's and four's at tables where they were served coffee, tea and desserts. Therewas no charge for the show, only a contribution jar with monies going to a playhouse fund.
