Coffee with the Poets
Coffee with the Poets, Wednesday, May 9 features Mary Michelle Keller, poet and writer, painter and musician from Hiawassee, GA. She paints with words as beautifully as she does with oils and watercolor.
Coffee with the Poets is held at Phillips and Lloyd Book Shop on the square in Hayesville the second Wednesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. Poets are invited to bring a poem or two to read at open mic. Crumpets Dessertery serves scones, tea and coffee for those attending. If you write poetry, read poetry or just want to come and listen to local poets share their work, you are welcome. This event is sponsored by North Carolina Writers Network West as a way to bring together poets and to promote poetry in our area. We are very informal and look forward to a full room as we have had the past two months. The DVD of our first Coffee with the Poets should be available on May 9. If you were there, you are in it.
