Church Calendar Zion UMC is serving up some great Christian fellowship and down-home country cookin' every Wednesday from 11:30 - 2:00 p.m.! The menu just gets better and better and the friendliness and price just can't be beat! May 9th, join us for Hamburger Casserole Divine. On the 16th enjoy baked chicken with rice and the 23rd we will be cooking sausage with black beans and yellow rice. In celebration of Memorial Day, we will serve our famous Slow Smoked BBQ Sandwiches with all the trimmings. Every entrØe comes with side dishes, dessert and a drink all for a donation of $4.00. All money goes towards missions and ministries of the church. Zion UMC was chartered in 1871, making it one of the first organized churches in our community. Our sanctuary is over 100 years old and a walk through our cemetery is an experience rich in local heritage. Sunday school begins at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday followed by a worship service at 11:00. Located at 4812 Young Harris Highway, we are the little country church with a kudzu kind of love that just grows and grows. Mission Hill Baptist Church Revival at Mission Hill Church begins May 13th - 16th. Sunday night services begin at 6:00 p.m., Monday - Wednesday morning services at 10:00 a.m. and the evening services start at 7:00 p.m. The special speakers will be Bro. Ronnie Jones and Bro. The visiting minister at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Franklin on Sunday, May 13 is the Rev. Rebecca Booker of Pisgah Forest, NC. The title of her sermon will be "Lessons from Mom."
