Margie Watson

Margie Watson, 92, of Hayesville died Tuesday (May 8) in a Snellville, GA hospital. She was a native of Clay County where she had lived all of her life. She was the daughter of the late William A. and Rose Kitchens Ledford and the wife of the late Paul Watson who died January 13, 1988. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and fishing. Margie was a member of the Fires Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Bettye Sales and her husband, Jack of Clarkesville, GA; a sister, Lois Cassada of Mt. Holly, NC; a grandson, Barry Sales; and three great grandchildren, Barrett, Dylan, and Carly Sales.

Funeral services at 11:00 AM Saturday (May 12) in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Singer: L.D. Buchanan and Singers: Hallye King and Kim Sterious. Interment in the Hayesville Baptist-Presbyterian Cemetery. Pallbearers: Barry, Dylan, and Barrett Sales, L.D. Buchanan, Buddy Vault, and Tommy Moore.

The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:45 Saturday at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in loving memory of Margie Watson to the Hayesville Baptist-Presbyterian Cemetery Fund, c/o Joann Arrendale, 2977 Hwy 64 West, Hayesville, NC 28904.
