Emergency landing
Helicopter whisks injured senior to Chattanooga
HARRISON KEELY, Sentinel Writer

A Resuce Air 1 helicopter made a noisy landing in the parking lot of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church on May 23.

A team of three rescue workers emerged from the helicopter to deliver an elderly lady from an ambulance into the chopper after she had fallen in her home just moments before 1 p.m.

Fire trucks from the Clay County Fire Department and the Shooting Creek Fire Department were on the scene in case of trouble with the helicopter's landing. Neither department would comment on the accident.

The woman, who will remain unidentified, was flown to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee and was treated for her condition.
