TCCC has OSHA training

Tri-County Community College will be holding three 10- hour OSHA training classes this summer.

Preventing Disease Transmission will be held July 11- 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This course is designed to briefly cover the OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030 standard, on job exposure to blood borne pathogens, protective equipment, confined spaces and fire protection.

OSHA Right to Know will be held July 25-26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This Workshop is designed to acquaint employers with provisions ofNC Hazardous Chemicals Right to Know Act (HB 348), applicable NC OSHA standards, and available industry methodology for achievingcompliance.

OSHA Industrial Safety Training will be held Aug 1-2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This course will teach the basic OSHA regulations related to working with materials handling, machine guarding, lockout/ tagout, electricity and welding operations.

The cost is $50 per class. Attendees will receive OSHA Certification and completion cards for the topics covered in the class. One CEU will be awarded per class.

Classes will be held at the Cherokee County Center for Applied Technology in Marble.
