Celebrating 12 years of dancing in Hayesville
In the early 60's Dave backed up the Skyliners in Pittsburg, PA with such hits as This I Swear Is True, this was all before he graduated from High School. After that he joined the U.S. Air Force where he formed a 5-piece band and entertained troops all over the country and the Artic Circle. After finishing his tour in the Air Force he moved to Palm Beach, FLwhere he entertained for 30 years in the local area Lounges & hotels. It was at this time that he was exposed to many genders of music including soft rock, pop hits, Caribbean, Latin and top country hits. After retiring from his day job as an Electrical Engineer for IBM and later on with OSHA, Dave & his wife Mary Lou moved from FLto the mountains of Western N.C., Hayesville. Since then he's been providing music for some of the most fun loving people in the local Tri-State area. With a repertoire of over 1500 songs. He can play and sing any request from the standards of the Big Band era, Classic Country including Line Dancing, 50's & 60's to Latin, Cha Cha, Meringue, Rumba or Waltz. The dances are going strong and so is Dave who plays song after song so no one has a chance to sit down. He'll keep you dancing so come join us for a fun filled night of song & dance. If you don't dance that's alright, come out and learn to dance or just enjoy the wonderful music.
The Hayesville dances are held twice monthly, the first & third Friday of each month at the Hayesville Senior Center on Ritter Road beginning at 7:30PM. For a small donation of $5 you'll definitely have a great time. The dances provide this great music & song, plenty of finger food, sweets & soft drinks, a nice large dance floor and door prizes. If you still have questions to ask you can call either Jeanne at (828) 389- 3003 or Mary Lou at (828) 389- 3581.
