Stecoah welcomes Chef Gentry

On July 14, from 10:00 until 2:00, heavenly aromas will be ascending in the valley of Stecoah. Stecoah Valley Food Ventures is pleased to welcome Chef Michael Gentry to the Stecoah Kitchen once again. Chef Michael is of the Swannanoa School for the Culinary Arts and will be presenting a class highlighting the use of local berries in this Organic/Vegetarian class. There will be recipes for coleslaws, homemade cheese and berry favorites. Students will also learn about protein packed meat alternatives. Chef Michael loves to share his passion for local foods with his students and has agreed to return to the Stecoah Kitchen. As in the past, this will be a hands-on class but because of the enthusiasm of past students this class will fill quickly and class size is limited. The class concludes with a flavor packed meal that the class prepares and informal time with Chef Michael. For more information or to register, call Stecoah Valley Center at 828-479-3364 or Stecoah Valley Food Ventures at 828-479-1466. You need not be a vegetarian to enjoy this class.
