Chatuge Shores Golf News

Tuesday, July 3, the game for the ladies golf association was best two balls of the foursome, using handicaps. Loretta Hughes shot he best round with a 75. Of course her team was the winner: first, Loretta Hughes, Nancy Belk, Pat Mosteller and Janet Woodruff with 119. Second with a 122, Barbara Boswell, Anne Rakestraw, Janet Jacobaski and Kathy Fielding. Third with a 123, Patti Tucker, Mary Anderson, Carol Baxter and Jeanne Odom. Fourth, Opal Rose, Carol Mann, Ellen Moore and Kay Watts with a 126. Chip-in winner: Anne Rakestraw and low putts: Loretta Hughes with 30.

The VFW played their scramble on Thursday, July 5, and the winning team was: Eleanor Knowlton, Myron Grizio,

Robert Lyle and Bill Kiser with a 65. The VFW play each Thursday and invite you to come play. We appreciate our veterans. Congratulations to all the winners.
