Golf tournament and annual BBQ on calendar

I would like to thank Sunflower Antiques and Interiors for hosting the monthly Business After Hours event on Monday of last week. If you haven't had the opportunity to go by and see P.J. and Katherine in their wonderful facility located in the Timberlake Plaza in Hiawassee, please do so. They have an impressive array of furniture and accessories as well as a wealth of knowledge in interior design. The next Business After Hours will be on Monday August 13th at 5:30 p.m. at United Community Bank in Hayesville. These events are an excellent opportunity to mix and mingle with local business and get information about what's happening in our community.

The annual Mountain Golf Tournament sponsored by the Chamber will be held on Saturday and Sunday, August 25th and 26th at Chatuge Shores Golf Course in Hayesville. This is a two person, select shot tournament and includes a dinner for each participant and a guest, door prizes, as well as Hole-in-One chances. The tournament is limited to the first 100 teams paid, and payment must be made in advance to insure a spot. Entry forms can be picked up at Chatuge Shores Golf Course as well as many area businesses and at the Chamber office.

The date for the Chamber's annual Fall BBQ has been set for October 6. Please watch for future updates as to time and location.

The annual Area Guide and Business Directory is available now at the Chamber office. This is a free directory listing many of the businesses and services available in our area as well as local information, maps, a calendar of events among other things that comes out each July. Please stop in at the Chamber and pick up a copy.
