Callie Dockery
Mrs. Dockery was a native of Union County, GA; she was a daughter of the late Buford and Martha Duvall Long. Callie was a homemaker and a member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Blairsville, GA. She enjoyed sewing and working in her flower garden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Jackson Dockery. She is survived by fivesons and their wives, Wayne and Virginia Dockery of Maysville, GA, Harold and Cynthia Dockery of Lula, GA, Hoyt and Michelle Dockery of Cleveland, GA, Oscar and Tammy Dockery of Young Harris, GA and James and Carol Dockery of Demorest, GA; fivedaughters, Darlene Dockery of the home in Hayesville, NC, Alene Edwards and her husband Carl of Hiawassee, GA, Annie Jean Young and her husband Dennis of Young Harris, GA, Mary Dean Dockery of Marble, NC and Elaine Long of Cornelia, GA; one sister, Johnnie Dockery of Young Harris, GA; twenty-one grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 3, 2007 at the Townson Rose, Frank Rose, Sr. Memorial Chapel in Hayesville, NC. The Rev. Jimmy Rogers and Rev. R. L. Martin will officiate. Music will be provided by the Cody Family. Burial will be in the Pine Log Baptist Church Cemetery in Brassstown, NC. Pallbearers will be Steven Dockery, Cody Anderson, Tyler Dockery, Damon Youngblood, Travis Dockery, Robert Guy, Patrick Dockery and Lonnie Dockery. Honorary pallbearer will be Troy Lowe. The family will recieve friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the Townson Rose, Frank Rose Sr. Memorial Chapel in Hayesville, NC.
