Gladys Amanda Hall

Gladys Amanda Hall Cook, 77 of Brasstown, NC died Saturday, August 25, 2007, at her home.

She was a native of Clay County, NC, a homemaker and a member of Little Brasstown Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Loyal Everette Hall and Lula Clarice Carringer Hall and was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years John Robert "Rob" Cook who died October 25, 2005 and two brothers John Hall and Judd Hall.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, Everette and Jill Cook of Blairsville, GA and Earl and Sandra Cook of Lakeland, Florida; fivedaughters and their husbands, Evelyn and Guy Moss of Hiawassee, GA, Donna and Wade Dockery of Young Harris, GA., Robin and Jerry Johnson of Murphy, NC, Sharon and Cotton Allen and Susan and Tony Ware all of Brasstown, NC; two brothers, Edward Hall and Warren Hall both of Brasstown, NC, a sister Ann Brown of Atlanta, GA, twenty-four grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at the Little Brasstown Baptist Church in Brasstown, NC. The Rev. Aud Brown, Rev. Hoyt Brown, Rev. Tony Ware and Rev. Leon Henderson will officiate. Music will be by Susie Graham and the Eagle Mountain Quartet. Interment will be in the Little Brasstown Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Robbie Moss, Tracy Dockery, Shannon Dockery, Kevin Cook, Adam Cook, Dewayne Dockery, Clint Cook and Derek Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons: Jody Moss and Danny Dockery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M., Monday, August 27, 2007 at the Little Brasstown Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made In Memory of Gladys Cook to the Mountain Home Nursing Service, P.O. Box l306, Hayesville, NC 28904.
