Appalachian Home Builders membership drive

The Appalachian Home Builders Association (AHBA) today announcd that their annual Membership Drive Meeting will be held noon on September 20th, 2007, at the Murphy House Restaurant. The theme of this year's meeting is "Looking Forward,"and will address issues regarding economic growth and residential development in the near future. Guest speakers will include Cherokee County Manager David Badger, and Murphy Councilman David Hilton.

All who are involved in the home building industry are encouraged to attend. "This isn't just for contractors," said AHBA Board Member Sandy Hook. "Retailers, financiers, and residential subcontractors all have interests in this area's growth and are encouraged to attend."

Gifts and prizes will be awarded to all non-member guests who attend, and lunch will be free for all potential members. Additionally, anyone joining the AHBA during the month of September will receive a $50 discount on their first year's membership dues. Current members who sponsor a new member will receive a $25 gift and be eligible receive a $25 gift and be eligible for a cash drawing in October.

"This association is our local homebuilder's only real voice in local, state and even federal government, and it's vitally important that those involved in the building industry help make that voice as loud as possible," Hook said.
