Candy Hope Swanson Smith

Candy Hope Swanson Smith, age 35, of Marble, NC passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 15, 2007.

Candy was a lifelong resident of Cherokee County. She was a member of Maltby Baptist Church. Candy enjoyed music, playing the piano and loved horseback riding. She was a very lovable and outgoing person.

She is survived by her mother, Becky Jo Farner Swanson and stepfather Gary of Hayesville; two sons, Caleb McRae and Trae Gaddis; a sister, April Woody and her husband Anthony of Hayesville, NC; one niece, Faith Woody of Hayesville, NC; maternal grandparents, Helen "Mama Helen" and L.T. "Paw" Farner of Marble, NC and paternal grandparents, John and Louise Swanson of Hayesville, NC.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 18, 2007 in the Townson Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC. Rev. Kenny White and Rev. Eddie Brewer will officiate. Interment will be in the Maltby Cemetery in Marble, NC. Pallbearers will be Michael Carter, Anthony Woody, Mitchell Totherow, Dempsey Totherow, Dustin Totherow, Brandon Totherow and Dale Lambert.

The family will receive friends 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M, Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at Townson Rose Funeral Home Chapel.
