Class will be held on Monday evenings from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Senior Center, across from the library in Murphy. Class The Hayesville High School Multi Class Reunion will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the Truett Memorial Baptist Church, 22 Hiawassee Street, Hayesville, NC. Parents are encouraged to attend to meet their children's teachers and also to attend one of two 30-minute college planning information sessions conducted by the College Foundation of NC. The college planning sessions will be held at 6:30 and 7:30 in the high school lecture hall and will provide valuable information about college entrance and financial aid. Parents of students in grades 9-12 may attend either of the sessions and still have time to meet the teachers. The seminar covers crisis/emergency communications, dealing with the media in all situations, selling your story, dealing with tough community situations, creating news releases, talking points and media kits. Crafts, dancing and music in addition to food and games make it a fun experience. Quilt Show Planned The Misty Mountain Quilt Guild of Georgia/North Carolina will have their bi-annual quilt show Oct. 12-13 at North Georgia Technical School in Blairsville, Ga. There will also be a silent auction of mini-quilts. The drawing for a kingsize quilts, "Stars Over Georgia," will be held on the last day of the show. You do not have to be present to win. The Mountain Faith blue-grass gospel group from the Smoky Mountains of Sylva NC will perform. The group consists of Sam McMahan on the bass, Summer McMahan on the mandolin and fiddle, Brayden McMahan on the banjo, John Morgan on the guitar, and Jed Mobley on the mandolin. This group has been traveling for over 3 years and has sung in 9 states in the south and Midwest. They have played and sung in over 100 churches.
