Tractor parade Saturday
Crank your tractors, get on the horn, lets show those kids how we raise our corn

If you would like to see lots of tractors, we will have them on September 29 on the square in Hayesville. Jack Shook has graciously agreed to let us park our trucks and trailers on his place near Ivie Funeral Home. The tractors will be on display at the school on Saturday, September 28.

We are planning a big fun filled day on Saturday. There will be hot dogs and hamburgers starting around 11 a.m. Hopefully there will also be some great music through out the day. There will be announcements about the tractors and their owners

There will also be information about our new Clay County Tractor Club that has just been formed

We have lots of people helping with these events but we can always use more volunteers.

Our goal is to help educate children about where potatoes, beans and corn come from. Any proceeds will be used for a scholarship fund in memory of Dwight Smith, Ronnie and Mary Ann Smith's son. They lost him in a farming accident. If you would like to make a donation, please feel free to do so. We have registration forms to fillout available now if you own a tractor and live in Clay County or own or operate a farm or business in Clay County.

It makes no difference if the old boy smokes like a tarheel or a freight train or runs like a top. Please enter it in our parade and just please have some fun. If you need information about this event please call Garland Hogsed, Silas Brown, Glen Cheeks, Paul Swanson, Ed "Chuck" Patterson or the fabulous Bill England.
