Coffee Cake
Cooking with Barbara
By Barbara Walker

Every four years my husband, James; family holds the Harris Huff Reunion in Bethlehem, Georgia outside of Winger, Georgia.

Here all the Harris' and Huffs' gather together with food and good spirits, story telling and jokes, regarding the families or just good old fashion fun. The Old Homestead is now on the Registry of Old Historical and can be seen through a tour with a member of the family to guide you. The old log cabin comes complete with 18 century furniture and cookware. It's always fun to see everyone and share great food and memories. So I have been busy preparing for this get together. I thought an easy recipe was in store for this week. It is delicious and soooo easy to make. Enjoy!
Quick and Easy Filled
Coffee Cake
1 Package of Crescent Dinner
Rolls- 8 count regular ( Not the
low-fat kind).
1 jar of your favorite Preserves
Raspberry, strawberry or orange
marmalade)
Icing
1 Cup confectionary sugar
1 to 2 Tablespoons milk

Combine to make a thin icing. Grease a round cookie sheet, open crescent rolls. Use 4 rolls for bottom layer, overlapping rolls by pinching them together. Spread your favorite jam on top. Layer the other 4 rolls, pinching them together to seal in the jam. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool for 10 minutes and spread icing. As the ring cools the icing should harden.
