Steeplechase" book review Steeplechase brings the present with the past in an easy and flowing tale of Homer and Mary Kelly, who like to think of themselves as sleuths in a way. In this story they are on the trail of the Missing Church. Torn between time frames comes the personalities of the people of the past who are involved with generations of this town. Try and solve the mystery yourselves. You forget that this is fiction and not a true story. It bridges the gap of time easily and you soon learn to love each character and their personalities. Beautifully illustrated drawings by the author are included as well as 19th Century photographs of the characters of this story. Get involved. Feel their pain, love and step into their lives through the pages of this book. I really enjoyed this book, and now I'll need to read more of Homer and Mary Kelly's escapades through Jane Langston. A few more books by Jane Langston are: "The Deserter" and " Murder at Monticello".
