Tipton-Rogers completes first week at TCCC

Community Listening Forum is scheduled for November 16. The next phase in the history of Tri-County Community College began October 23 when Dr. Donna Tipton-Rogers began her presidency. Faculty and staff welcomed her with a reception in the McSwain Building.

Dr. Tipton-Rogers is the fifth president of Tri-County Community College and the first woman to serve in the position.

"I am extremely blessed to have the opportunity to serve as the next President of Tri-County Community College," said Dr. Tipton-Rogers.

"The college has a long history of success and has experienced tremendous growth as a college for more than 40 years. We should be proud of these accomplishments and look forward to new possibilities.

From the president's perspective, I would like to reassure our community that Tri-County is a proven provider of quality educational programs and will continue to be a place where learning comes to life."

TCCC has several exciting new projects in the works, including a long-range facilities plan. The college will be working with an architectural firm to plan the needs for the next 10 years.

"We look forward to serving our neighbors and friends as the college strives for new heights," said Dr. Tipton-Rogers. "I am excited about our future and look forward to working in our community as we begin the next phase at Tri-County Community College. I look forward to meeting many of you in the coming months on campus and in the community." The first chance to meet Dr. Tipton-Rogers will be at a Community Listening Forum on November 16. Everyone is invited to come out and let TCCC know where you want to see the college going. Bring along your ideas about new programs or courses that you think would be beneficial to our community.
