"Miracle on 34th Street" is the Christmas play at the Peacock

Reserve some time during the busy holiday season and take the whole family to the Peacock Playhouse in Hayesville to see the play, "Miracle on 34th Street."

Based on the beloved movie classic of 1947, starring Maureen O'Hara, John Payne, Edmund Gwinn, and a young Natalie Wood, the play is sure to put everyone in the Christmas spirit.

Regular theater-goers will be delighted to learn that Nancy Davis is directing this warmhearted play. Davis directed this season's very popular and sold out, "Sound of Music."

Davis has spent a life in the theater. She ran her own children's theater in Florida. She also runs a theater camp in the summer between Franklin and Highlands. Her able music director, Paul Dyer, will also be working on this presentation of "Miracle on 34th Street."

Is Mr. Kris Kringle really the one and only Santa as he claims? Or does the kind and generous gentleman belong in a mental institution? Join the Licklog Players and decide for yourself. However, as the story proclaims, "Faith means believing when common sense tells you not to."

The dates of the play are December 6-9. Evening performances begin at 8:00 p.m. with a Sunday matinee at 2:30.

Tickets are $13 for adults and $8 for children. Tickets will go on sale on November 26 at the box office from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

You can also reserve tickets by phone: 828-389-8632 or 877-691-9906.
