SOLOMON GIBSON
Solomon Gibson, 85, of Hayesville died Wednesday (November 7, 2007) in a Clay County Care Center. He was a native of New York City, but had lived in Ft. Myers, Fla. before moving to Clay County 25 years ago. He was the son of the late Michael and Mary Ostroff Gibson. Solomon was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War serving in the United States Navy as an aviation machinist and retiring after 18 years of service. He was a member and past president of the Hayesville Lion¹s Club and was of the Catholic faith. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Meek Gibson; two daughters, Deborah Quinones of Miami and Christina Aguilar of Lake City, Fla.
