Pauline Watkins

Pauline Poteete Watkins, age 90, of Blairsville, GA passed away Sunday November 25, 2007 at the Union County Nursing Home in Blairsville, GA.

A native and lifelong resident of Union County, GA; she was the daughter of the late Emory and Georgia Mauney Poteete. She was a homemaker and attended Zion Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband Clarence William Watkins in 1998; a son, Billy Watkins; and a daughter, Louise Odom.

She is survived by her son, Gerald Lee Watkins and his wife Judy of Blairsville, GA; two grandsons Tommy Watkins and Tony Watkins; and three greatgranddaughters, Ashley, Amber and Hailey Watkins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday November 27, 2007 at the Townson Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC with the Rev. Bryan Souther officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Blairsville, GA. Pallbearers will be David Wilson, Tommy Watkins, Tony Watkins, Kendill Foster, Lee Beaver and Kenny Beaver.

The family will recieve friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday November 26, 2007 at the Townson Rose Funeral Home in Murphy, NC.
