      The Appalachian Community Bank Open was played at Brasstown Valley Resort. The tournament catered to the older junior players. Brasstown Valley Resort's course proved to be extremely challenging for the players.

      Hayesville High School wrestlers kicked off the 2007-2008 wrestling season Friday night at the King of the Mountain tournament hosted by Towns County. the two-day event drew 16 teams from Georgia and North Carolina to Hiawassee.

Lady Jackets loose their Sting!
     The Hayesville Varsity Girls struggled Tuesday night against the Towns County Indians. The Jackets played their hearts out but they just couldn't sting the Indians. The final score was 66-29.
