JAM Christmas Recital at Stecoah Valley Center

JAM (Junior Appalachian Musicians) students will give a special Christmas recital on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 2:00pm in the Stecoah Valley Center auditorium. The JAM project, now in its 6th year, has helped the children of Graham County reclaim their musical heritage and traditions by offering classes in traditional Appalachian music including fiddle, guitar, banjo and mandolin. Classes are lead by local instructors Sue Bullock, Randall Nelms, Wendell Mc Cray and Maurice McClung. JAM members include Skye Badalucca, Madisyn Belanger, Dakota Crisp, Eric Davis, Eli Goodpaster, Erin Goodpaster, Jordan Halovsky, Mellisa Hensley, Hannah Holder, Sadie Holder, Sarah Knight, Damon Lail, Dayton Lail, Emily Nelms, Julie Nelms, Tyler Price, Kaitlyn Carringer, Kristofer Harris, Blaine Holland and Shanne McPherson.

Join us as we celebrate the musical talents of these youngsters and enjoy a great holiday concert. Stecoah Valley Center is located at 121 Schoolhouse Road in the Stecoah Community between Bryson City and Fontana.
