2007 Appalachian Community Bank Open sixth tournament September 27 2007 ACB group shot

The Appalachian Community Bank Open was played at Brasstown Valley Resort. The tournament catered to the older junior players. Brasstown Valley Resort's course proved to be extremely challenging for the players. The Tri-County Junior Golf Association appreciates the cooperation of Charles Burton, General Manager of Brasstown Valley

Resort, in allowing the junior tour to play the resort's course. This is the second time this year that the junior tour visited Brasstown Valley Resort.

The Tri-County Junior Golf Association (TCJGA) thanks Appalachian Community Bank for their sponsorship of the tournament. Jason Karnes and Andrew Akins from Appalachian Community Bank greeted the players during registration and watched them take the course. Becky Dyer of the bank was very helpful in staging the event and commented "Appalachian Community Bank is proud to sponsor the TCJGA and its efforts. Through this phenomenal organization, our Youth not only get educated in the game of golf, but they also develop enduring skills, such as discipline, patience, and sportsmanship."

The 2007 TCJGA ACB boys 11 and 12 division winners at BVR 9 27 07

The 11-12 boys division saw two golfers placing for the first time this year. These two golfers were Hayden Schoeffler and Dallas Manus. Jacob Chambliss placed for the first time in the 13-14 boys division. Parker Lewis in the 15-17 boys division captured first place for the first time this year on Brasstown Valley Resort's course. Morgan Bentley also continued her string of first place finishes. Congratulations to them all.
