Virginia Elizabeth Hohmann Virginia Elizabeth Hohmann, 78 of Hayesville, NC died Saturday, December 8, 2007, at the Murphy Medical Center in Murphy, NC. She was a native of Detroit, Michigan, a homemaker and she was of the Catholic faith. She was the daughter of the late Benito and Gertrude Bruehl Barreto. She was preceded in death by a son Richard Hohmann and a daughter Margaret Cothern. Virginia is survived by her husband Raymond Leo Hohmann Sr.; six sons Joseph Raymond Hohmann and his wife Sue of Hayesville, NC, John Christopher Hohmann of Port Huron, Michigan, Raymond Leo Hohmann Jr. and his wife Rosie of Hayesville, NC, Paul Fredrick Hohmann and his wife Shevaun of Port Huron, Michigan, Carl Francis Hohmann and his wife Vonda of Marble, NC and Fredrick Albert Hohmann and his wife Cindy of Marble, NC; two daughters Theresa George of St. Clair, Michigan and Anne Marie Tait of Hayesville, NC; one brother Tommy Barrato of Westland, Michigan; one sister Hildegard Gray of Phoenix, Arizona; thirty-nine grandchildren and thirty-one greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 14, 2007, at Townson- Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC. Father Richard Wise will officiate. Interment will be in the Hohmann Family Cemetery in Hayesville, NC. Her sons will serve as pallbearers.
