Want a Good Idea for a Great Christmas Gift?
Submitted By: Carolyn Krueger Hummingbird Hollow

I recently tries a recipe from the dog treat section of the Valley River Humane Society's "Doggone Good Recipes" Cookbook. Sally Ann Silverbell, my one year old Labradoodle, loved the Canine Carrot Cookies I baked for her. And they were simple to make. That recipe is only one of two dozen you can find for your pet in this book.

Besides the pet treats, of course, there are many more easy and tasty recipes for the rest of us in this book. Countless dishes I have sampled at covered dish events in the past six years, since moving to Hayesville, can be found in this publication. I contributed two of my favorite recipes I always take to Christmas events. These two colorful treats are always a festive addition to any Holiday table.

This cookbook containing so many cherished recipes to help the homeless animals in our community makes a perfect and beneficial gift for someone you would like to remember during this season. The cost is only $10 per copy.

The books may be purchased at the following locations:
Murphy: Valley River Humane Society Thrift Shop Hwy 64
next to Arby's
Marble: Valley River Animal Shelter US Hwy 19
Hayesville: Tiger's on the Square
Phillips and Lloyd Book Store on The Square

Mountain Valley Feed and Pet, Inc. Hwy 69
Young Harris: Black Tie and Tails Pet Grooming Hwy. 17
