Murphy, NC January 2, 2008 Little Kylah Jeanet Eller was running a little late. She was supposed to celebrate Christmas with her parents, Farrah and Eddie Eller of Peachtree, but instead she became the first baby of the New Year born at Murphy Medical Center.

She was born Wednesday, Jan 2nd at 7:07 pm, with OB/GYN Larry Holder, MD delivering the couple's first child. Holder and his colleague Jenkins Clarkson, MD practice together at The Center for Women's Health.

"For the past 43 years I've been delivering babies," Dr. Holder said. "The New Year babies are a wonderful way to start the year. I've always enjoyed being a part of these special moments; I'm so glad to be back in the community and working with Dr. Clarkson." Both physicians deliver babies at Murphy Medical Center's family friendly Labor and Delivery department.

The Cherokee County couple is overjoyed with their daughter's birth. Kylah's family includes Great Grandparent Janet and Edwin Eller of Peachtree, Maternal Grandparents Mary and Roscoe Hall of Murphy, NC and Paternal Grandparents Tammy and Thurman Eller of Marble, NC and Myra Martin of Pinelog, NC.
