Natasha Johnson
She was a native of Naples, Florida but lived in the Peachtee area for many years, and graduated from the Mountain Youth Center in the Martins Creek Community, in 2005. She was employed with Cataloochee Ski Resort in Waynesville, NC as an office clerk, and was also a waitress. She is survived by her father, Phillip Todd Johnson and stepmother, Glenda Johnson of Everglades City, Florida; her mother, Martha "Marty" Renee Derreberry Johnson and Garfield Hedgecoth of the Peachtree Community; one brother, L.J. Carter of Everglades City, Florida, three sisters, Tia Johnson of Murphy, NC., Tamara Johnson of Andrews, NC and Journey Brown of Asheville, NC; her paternal grandparents, Tina and Len Lavender of Columbus, Ohio and Phillip and Margaret Johnson from Everglades City, FL.; and her maternal grandmother Lucille Brendle and Seirra of the Peachtree Community; four Aunts, Mary Beasley and fiance Phil Haigler of Murphy, NC; Lee Cody and her husband, Lowell Cody of Hayesville, NC., Lisa Kibaux of Golden Meadows, LA and Amanda Johnson and Freddie Ayers of Everglades City, FL; and several cousins. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the Townson Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC. The Rev. Steve Cothren will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Peachtree, NC; Pallbearers will be Gary Newton, Cory Stalcup, John Farmer, Jacob Garrett, Nathaniel Johnson and Dustin Davis. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, February 1, 2008 at the Townson Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC.
