This recipe is from Paula Deen who lives in Savannah, one of my favorite places to visit. There is so much to see there and the food is wonderful. Paula Deen has a wonderful restaurant there too, and people flock to it. While in Savannah I enjoyed walking along the river front, and all the wonderful places to eat. If you haven't been it's a Must see! Low Country Cookies Recipe courtesy of Paula Deen- Food Network Instructions: For the filling : Line a 13 by 9 -inch pan with whole graham crackers. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add sugar. Beat the egg and milk together; add to butter mixture. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add the nuts, coconut, and 1 cup graham crackers crumbs. Pour over the crackers in the pan. Cover with another layer of graham crackers. For the topping, beat all ingredient together and spread over the layers of crackers. Chill. Cut into squares.
