ICL Course: Are We Now as They Were Then? Rev. Darris Baker, Pastor at Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church in Young Harris, will lead a six-week course that examines the leaders of the early Christian Church - their thoughts, the culture in which they lived, how that related to early Christians, and how that relates to our culture today. Topics will include Jesus of Luke's Gospel, Christ and the Holy Spirit, Self- Emptied Christ of Paul, Christ of Gnosticism and Apostle's Creed, Hippolytus and Christ of Baptism, and Christ of the Doctrine of the Trinity. The class will meet Wednesdays from 1 to 3 pm beginning February 13 and running through March 19 in Classroom 104 in the Goolsby Building on the campus of the College. The class is open to everyone for the registration fee of $17; membership in ICL is not required. The classes are sponsored by the Institute for Continuing Learning at Young Harris College.
