Adopt a new friend

Hi,

My name is Jack; I am a 2 year old German shepherd mix that is happy and fun loving. I actually think I am a lap dog, and all I want to do is please you. I would love to live in a home of my own with some room to roam. I am kennel- trained, so you will not be finding any of those accidents other dogs may findendearing. I get along great with other dogs and would love to have a family of my own. I am neutered, Heart worm negative and up to date on all my shots.

I am a trim 63 lbs, and would make a great walking companion for you if you need some exercise. I adore long walks and am well behaved off the leash as well as on. Currently I am in foster care until I get a family of my own, so I come with glowing references. That's my foster mom in the pic with me, (she likes to kiss, and I let her, but don't tell her husband). Please come by the Shelter and ask for me or call and arrange to meet. Don't forget my name is Jack, but you can change it if you want to. I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Bobby Joe Sue and Marylou. We think we were named after some obscure country song, but actually you can help us to make sure our lives turn out much better than that song. We are about 7 months old, and we have been here at the Shelter for a long time ( probably since our Momma got run over by that dang old train). We are both spayed, and up to date on all our shots. As you can see we are beautiful, photogenic, and inseparable. We get along with other animals, but we prefer each others company the best. Playful is our middle names (imagine that we have middle names too, that must have been some song!) You really need to come meet us. Let's write some beautiful music together.

Valley River Humane Society Thrift Store has a new location: 1160 W US 64 in Murphy, stop by and see it... The hours of operation are from 10 am to 5 pm Monday through Saturday. Our phone number is 828-837-6137.
