For more information contact Nancy Gadsby: 706-896-6392 Good Neighbors Auto Club Meets The next meeting of the Good Neighbors Auto Club will be on February 21st at the new Happy Gardens Chinese Restaurant in Murphy, NC at 7:00 PM. The restaurant is located just west of Murphy on the left across from Badcock Furniture. Members and the general public are welcome and will meet around 6:30 PM to enjoy the buffet at this new restaurant. The first poets and writers The first Poets and Writers Reading Poems and Stories for 2008 will be held at John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21. Two writers are featured each month. Richard Argo, fiction writer, from Murphy, NC and Peg Russell who will read poetry are featured this month. The community is invited to enjoy this free and interesting hour with our mountain writers. This program is sponsored by North Carolina Writers Network West and the Folk School. Coffee with the Poet Coffee with the Poets is hosted by Phillips and Lloyd Book Store in Hayesville, North Carolina Wednesday, February 27 at 10:30 A.M. Michelle Keller will be the featured poet. MARCH: The N.C.W.N. Netwest Poetry Critique The N.C.W.N. Netwest Poetry Critique will meet at Tri-County Community College in Murphy, North Carolina, Thursday, March 6 at 7:00 P.M. Funds raised benefit local youth shooting/ safety programs, women's safety and shooting programs, BSA, 4-H, etc. DAUGHTERS of the AMERICAN REVOLUTION MARCH MEETING The March 2008 meeting of the DAR Chapter will be held at The Old Hiawassee Grille Fireside Room in Hiawassee, GA Saturday, March 8 at 10:15 AM. A member of the State DAR Speaker's Staff will feature a program on "Meadow Garden," a DAR memorial in Augusta, Georgia, to George Walton, who was a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
