It's Kindergarten Registration Time!! Kindergarten registration for the 2008-2009 school year at Hayesville Elementary School will be held March 20th. In order to be eligible for registration, your child must be five (5) on or before October 16, 2008. In order to register a child for Kindergarten in the state of North Carolina, parents/guardians must provide the school with: • A copy of the child's birth certificate • Shot record • Social Security Number • A Health Assessment (from your personal physician or the Health Department) • Proof of Residency (Acceptable proof of residency includes: a recent utility bill (with 911 address) or a notarized signed residency affidavit.) Our school nurse will be on hand to answer questions concerning immunizations and the health assessment. Your child cannot register for school until all requirements are complete. Parents/guardians are asked not to bring children at this time due to the high volume of parents that will be in and out during registration. The registration process will take approximately thirty (30) minutes. Times have been allotted by last names. Please arrive sometime during your appropriate time slot. Since parking is limited on campus, a few spaces will be available around the traffic circle in front of the Elementary School or behind the Old Rock Gym.
