Ross D. Howe
He was a native of Petersburg, Virginia and had lived in Clay County for six years. Ross retired from Frosty Foods in Jacksonville, Florida in 1965. He moved to Hurst, Texas in 1999, in 2002 he moved to Hayesville, NC. He was of the Methodist faith, a member of the Masonic Lodge in Daytona Beach Florida and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Ross and Hattie Devol; and his wife, Ruth Virginia Eley Howe. He is survived by a son and his wife, Robert and Judy Howe of Ocala, Florida; a daughter and her husband, Betsy R. and Tom Hall of Hayesville, NC.; a sister, Marian Stanley of Fernaida Beach, Florida; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service and an entombment will be held Thursday, February 21, 2008 in Fero Memorial Gardens in Beverly Hills, Florida. The Rev. Bruce Seaman will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Ross D. Howe to the Alzeimer's Association, 31 College Place Suite D320, Asheville, NC 28801-2644.
