The RedHead Express Featured in Folk School Concert

The RedHead Express, a family bluegass band from Alaska will be featured in concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, February 29 at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown. Admission is free (donations accepted).

The RedHead Express from Palmer, Alaska, also known as the Walker Family, plays traditional bluegrass, country, jazz and gospel music with occasional forays into Irish and old time Appalachian music. The family showcases their four young daughters' harmony singing and songwriting talents while their parents add vocal depth, backup and guidance to the group. They have performed at the Anderson Bluegrass Festival (Alaska's largest), and the Alaska State Fair. The band is currently on tour in the southeast.
