For more information contact Nancy Gadsby: 706-896-6392 Book Fair Scheduled for March 20th and 21st Murphy Medical Center is hosting a Book Fair on Thursday and Friday, March 20th and 21st in the large conference room at the hospital. The book fair features quality books and unique gifts provided by the Books Are Fun organization, a Reader's Digest Company, at wonderful savings. Every book fair is different, but each event provides a wide variety of books, note cards and stationery items, children's activity items, music CDs and much more. The cookbook and children's book sections are especially superb. Cash, Credit Cards, Checks (even post-dated) are accepted.Proceeds benefit the Murphy Medical Center Charity Fund to support various community charitable causes. Future Book Fairs will be held in July and October of 2008. Live music will be provided by Dave Bartens who plays and sings your favorites from Big Band Swing, Country. Two-Step & Line Dancing, Classic 50's, along with Latin Cha-Cha's, Rhumbas, Tango's, Walzes and an occasional Polka. Whatever your choice is I'm sure Dave can fulfill it. We offer door prizes, plenty of finger food, sweets & soft drinks all for a $5 donation per person. Please join us for a morning of local writers reading their work. Hayesville Civitan Club will be holding their Annual Spaghetti Dinner Fund Raiser on Saturday, March 29th from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M. at Truett Baptist Church. The meal will include salad, spaghetti, bread, dessert and a drink. The cost will be $7.00, you may purchase ticket in advance from any Civitan or Jr. Civitan Member or they may be purchased on saturday at the church. Concerned citizens are invited to join the Coalition in collecting roadside trash from Monday thru Saturday Noon, March 24-29. Orange bags will be available Wednesday, March 19 thru Friday, March 28 at three locations- • United Community Bank • Moss Memorial Library • The Market Full bags should be left beside State Highways for NCDOT collection. The Spring Rally will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 29th on the Square.
